“Under the auspices of previous European packages we built ports and airports. We simultaneously wasted money through a clientelist and inefficient system. We never managed to perform the necessary surgical moves that were required in order to release the healthiest forces within Greece. Now we are given an even bigger opportunity to do so. Let us not waste it. I hope the Greek government has the courage to pursue and secure a broad consensus in shaping national priorities, even within this limited time frame,” writes Loukas Tsoukalis, President of ELIAMEP, in his article for the Sunday edition of newspaper “Kathimerini”.
