The book is a biography (Economia Publishing, ISBN:978-960-9490-12-2) of the leading Greek banker Minos A. Zombanakis, a member of the ELIAMEP Board. He was born in 1926 and was educated at Harvard University from where he received his master degrees in Public Administration (MPA) and Economics (MA, ABD). In the period 1958-1979 he served as International banker and from 1979 onwards as economic consultant. He contributed to the creation of the syndicated loan market to finance the requirements of many countries which suffered from balance of payments and disequilibria following the increases in the price of energy. Subsequently, he undertook the task to formulate policies that dealt with LDC crises. He was also involved in international economic forums. He established and runs the Athens Seminar, he is the co-founder and chairman in the Board of Trustees of the Center for the Study of Financial Innovation (CSFI), London. Zombanakis is a former consultant to many governments and corporations. He is still active as a consultant in the Middle East and a member of various non-profit institutions.

David Lascelles is a leading international writer on financial affairs. A former Banking Editor and New York correspondent for the Financial Times, he is now Senior Fellow of the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation, a London-based think tank which explores the future of the financial services industry.
