The Hellenic Foundation for European and Foreign Policy (ELIAMEP) and the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of Peloponnese, with the support of the NATO Public Diplomacy Division, are organizing on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 10:30 am in Room 1 of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the University of Peloponnese in Corinth on:

“Instability and insecurity in the wider Mediterranean region and the implications for European security”.

The aim of the event is to highlight the dynamics of instability and insecurity in North Africa, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and the Balkans, as well as the implications for European security and for Greece. The specific issues to be discussed relate to Islamic extremism, forced migration, the economic crisis, challenges to security strategy, climate change and energy security.

The event is organized under the “Let’s Talk about Security” Program, which is supported by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division. The aim of the program is to create opportunities for dialogue with young scientists who contribute to the production of new knowledge about security.
