ELIAMEP’s President, Prof. Loukas Tsoukalis, was a guest on the Prime programme of Elias Siakantaris, where they discussed political developments in France, the appointment of the new Prime Minister, Michel Barnier, and how the political instability in the Franco-German axis affects the decision-making process in the EU. They also discussed the problems created by the unanimity rule in European foreign policy and the solution proposed by Mr Tsoukalis in his book “Europe’s Coming of Age”, which was mentioned in a recent Financial Times article. He also referred to the inability of the US to impose its red lines on the Netanyahu government.
