Bledar Feta appeared on “Ballkan”, a current affairs show broadcast by ABC News Albania. There, he discussed the current geopolitical challenges and domestic security issues that are acting as barriers to peace and stability in the region with the journalist Linda Karadaku.

Feta talked about the fragile situation in the region, noting that “the Western Balkans currently face political instability and secessionist movements in Bosnia Herzegovina, questionable governance in Serbia and Albania, ongoing tensions between Kosovo and Serbia, and anti-Western rhetoric in North Macedonia”.

According to Feta, “The explosive regional situation, combined with current geopolitical developments, means that any domestic crisis will not only reopen the wounds inherited by the past, it will also create new unrest that could spiral out of control, leaving room for exploitation by third parties who want to expand their influence in the region by destabilizing it”. In this context, “the international community needs to pay much closer attention to the alarming security situation in the region”.
