Ioannis Armakolas comments on developments in North Macedonia following the victory of the conservative VMRO-DPMNE party in the country’s recent Presidential and Parliamentary elections in an article by Maria Mourelatou published in the newspaper TA NEA on Saturday 11 May. He referred to the issue of the use of the country’s constitutional name and how the government’s stance may affect relations between the two nations. He also stressed that any problems in bilateral relations would likely arise from the failure to use the constitutional name, and said that there were no indications of a desire to annul the agreement.
