In the light of Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis’ visit to Ankara, Maria Gavouneli writes about the ongoing disagreements between Greece and Turkey on fundamental issues, but also about the areas in which relations between  the two states are in a better place than they once were. She points out that bilateral relations focus on simple, everyday subjects, while the two sides more often than not “agree to disagree” on the more important issues, though this may not always remain the case.
