Loukas Tsoukalis shares that “both the immediate and long-term effects of this crisis will depend mainly on the political choices made and ways selected to mitigate its effects,” in a feature on the Sunday edition of the newspaper Kathimerini regarding Europe’s future. Tsoukalis, President of ELIAMEP, estimates that “the more effective the joint management of this crisis and the stronger the European solidarity, the lower the risk of nationalism-populism rising.” According to Tsoukalis, the outcome has yet to be decided.
