Sotiris Serbos recently gave an interview to Sputnik, explaining why Recep Tayyip Erdogan will ask even the European Central Bank for help. Serbos argues that Turkey’s significant financial troubles, born out of the pandemic, are expected to lead to new tactics and political manoeuvres. Serbos describes how Turkey is primarily attempting to approach the United States for support, but it will not able to achieve FED support since the US Federal Reserve has strict standards that Turkey does not meet.
