Mihalis Kritikos writes about the 8th World Conference on Research Integrity, which was staged jointly in Athens by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), and the WCRI Foundation. He explains why the event was important and notes that the issue of research ethics is approached in a piecemeal and fragmented way in Greece, which diverges from the European standard in still not having integrated the issue into school and university curricula as a subject in its own right.
